They’re off for WorkSmarts: Triple Crown! Join us virtually on May 21, 2025 as we take on the big three in labor and employment law right now:
- ADA Accommodations and the Interactive Process
- Workplace Diversity
- Jockeying for Guidance: A Brief Update on Executive Orders, Rulings, and Regulations
ADA Accommodations and the Interactive Process | 11 a.m–12 p.m.
ADA accommodations are among the most difficult challenges employers face on a day to day basis. Jeremy Brenner and Bethany Stewart will walk employers through the interactive process in detail, discuss examples of reasonable and unreasonable accommodations, and will particularly explore the nuances of remote work on the accommodation process. The session will also include a discussion of leaves of absence as an ADA accommodation and compare ADA leaves to other types of legally protected leaves.
Workplace Diversity | 12:30–1:30 p.m.
Less than two weeks after President Donald J. Trump signed two executive orders dismantling diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, James Crumlin will discuss how HR professionals can advance the conversation about these topics in the workplace and the communities in which our workplaces thrive.
Jockeying for Guidance: A Brief Update on Executive Orders, Rulings, and Regulations | 1:30–2:00 p.m.
The Trump Administration hit the ground running faster than Secretariat, but are the drastic changes recently implemented leaving employers stuck running in the mud? Randi Winter and Casey Murray will provide an update on the latest Executive Orders, rulings, and regulations issued by the administration. In addition, they’ll provide more information about the new direction of the EEOC, NLRB, and other administrative agencies.
