Spencer Fane Adds Two Litigators in Salt Lake City

Spencer Fane is pleased to announce associates Smith Stubbs and Tyler Talgo joined the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group in the firm’s Salt Lake City office.

Smith assists businesses and individuals with a wide range of litigation matters, advancing client interests by increasing leverage and limiting liability no matter the scale or scope of the dispute. He has specific experience in mergers and acquisitions and corporate transactions and has helped several clients navigate the Corporate Transparency Act.

Boasting diverse industry experience, Tyler represents clients in various stages of civil litigation with all aspects of case management, helping proactively resolve disputes with heavy consideration for sensitive interests and multifaceted objectives. He has represented clients in several areas of law, including mergers and acquisitions disputes, securities, trusts and estates, torts, land boundary issues, and family matters.

Prior to entering private practice, Smith served as a law clerk to the Utah Attorney General’s Office in the White Collar & Commercial Enforcement Division, where he assisted in large-scale consumer protection actions and securities actions, aided with settlement negotiations, and researched and drafted all forms of legal documents. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Utah and earned his Juris Doctor at the University of Idaho College of Law.

Tyler completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California and earned his Juris Doctor at Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School. Following, he served as a law clerk to the Utah County Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted cases in Utah County Justice Court and represented the County Attorney during pretrial conferences, arraignments, case reviews, and other hearings.
