Spencer Fane attorney Anna Schuler will join a copyright infringement panel at the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) Midyear Meeting on February 22 in Austin, Texas.
During the presentation, Blurred Lines – Is it Copyright Infringement or Fair Use? You Decide, Anna and fellow speakers Nicholas Bartelt of the U.S. Copyright Office and Nicholas Hoffman of McGuireWoods LLP will examine past intellectual property (IP) cases that demonstrate the complexities of copyright and fair use. The panelists will explore the factors that courts analyze in such cases and advise attendees looking to help clients with IP interests.
The presentation is part of the IADC’s extensive Midyear Meeting program that will last from February 18 to 23 at the Fairmont Austin. The event exemplifies the organization’s mission to serve and benefit its members, the legal profession, and the civil justice system by enhancing the development of skills, professionalism, diversity, and camaraderie in the practice of law.
