Daniel Chung Celebrates KACF-SF and AABA Community Initiatives

Spencer Fane attorney Daniel Chung recently attended celebrations hosted by the Korean American Community Foundation of San Francisco (KACF-SF) and Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area (AABA) that highlight his extensive community outreach efforts.

On January 12, Daniel attended KACF-SF’s 2025 grantee reception at Donato Enoteca in Redwood City, California. KACF-SF aims to uplift and connect the Korean-American community through philanthropy. For several years, Daniel has served on the organization’s volunteer Community Grants Committee, helping to vet and distribute grants to other community-based organizations focused on increasing the cultural competency and language access of critical programs. The January reception celebrated recent grant recipients such as Korean American Community Services (KACS), Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI), Asian Women’s Shelter (AWS), Korean Community Center of the East Bay (KCCEB), and more.

On January 15, Daniel attended AABA’s mentorship program celebration at Executive Order Bar & Lounge in San Francisco. AABA, one of the largest Asian American bar associations in the country, has been the voice of the San Francisco Bay Area’s Asian legal community since 1976. As part of its efforts to foster professional development, community, and service while advocating for civil rights, representation, and equality, Daniel volunteers as an attorney mentor for the organization’s mentorship program. In this role, he helps law students and junior attorneys navigate their career paths, offering guidance for every aspect of professional and personal development while also helping mentees foster connections and grow their networks.

At the firm, Daniel is an experienced trial attorney who helps clients through all stages of litigation and dispute resolution. A former criminal prosecutor in New York City and Silicon Valley, he adeptly navigates high-stakes investigations, hearings, arbitrations, and trials. Active in the San Francisco Bay Area community, Daniel holds leadership positions in the Korean American Bar Association of Northern California and Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Silicon Valley in addition to volunteering for many organizations including KACF-SF, NAACP, Bellarmine, and Harvard.
