Spencer Fane attorney Kelly Campbell received the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Foundation (KCMBF) President’s Award on November 20 in recognition of her work as Chair of the organization’s Military Matters program.
A former Lieutenant Commander of the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps, Kelly is deeply committed to Military Matters’ mission to bridge the gap between the veterans’ legal needs and attorneys assisting with pro bono and low-cost legal services. KCMBF President Russ Jones personally selected and honored Kelly at the organization’s annual meeting, highlighting several accomplishments in which she was an integral part over the past year. These include a successful VeteRUN 5K, a Military Matters Symposium on Suicide Awareness and Prevention, and progress toward expanding the program to other jurisdictions.
At Spencer Fane, Kelly is a trial lawyer who helps her clients make the best decisions to reach their goals. She has defended her clients against wrongful death claims, multiple serious personal injury claims, toxic torts, product liability claims, executive compensation claims, all types of discrimination and retaliation claims, and breach of contract claims.
