Daniel Chung Hosts Firm-Sponsored Mentorship Program Kickoff for KABANC

October 16, 2024

Spencer Fane was honored to sponsor the Korean American Bar Association of Northern California (KABANC) Mentorship Program Kickoff on September 19 in San Francisco. Attorney Daniel Chung – KABANC Vice President – organized and hosted the event which Maria Bellafronto helped fund.

Held at District SF, the well-attended social gathering celebrated the beginning of the organization’s 2024-2025 Mentorship Program, which has over 100 sign-ups. Daniel serves as Co-Chair of this initiative, which pairs Bay Area law students and junior attorneys with senior law professionals. By fostering these relationships, KABANC members both offer and benefit from critical guidance and diverse perspectives on areas such as law school, the bar, and the practice of law.

This year’s Kickoff event also featured special guests and esteemed legal leaders Judge Sharon Cho, Judge Marisa Chun, Judge Peter Kang, Judge Glenn Kim, Judge Cynthia Lie, South Korean Consul General Lim Jung-taek, and U.S. Attorney Izzy Ramsey.

At the firm, Daniel is an experienced trial attorney who helps clients through all stages of litigation. A former criminal prosecutor in New York City and Silicon Valley, he adeptly navigates high-stakes investigations, cases, motions, hearings, and trials. He is also an active, dedicated member of his local community who holds leadership roles not just in KABANC but also in the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Silicon Valley.
