Spencer Fane attorneys Greg Ash and Julia Vander Weele will present at the 2024 Kansas & Missouri CUPA-HR Conference & Annual Meeting, a September 12-13 event in Overland Park, Kansas.
As part of the conference’s Interstate Innovation program, Greg and Julia will present the session, How SECURE is Your 403(b) Plan? This employee benefits presentation will review implementation issues that higher education employers currently face as they implement SECURE Act 2.0 regulations for their Code Section 403(b) retirement plans. The team will cover the administration of the new SECURE 2.0 eligibility requirements for long-term, part-time employees, the option to tie employer-matching contributions to student loan repayments, and other SECURE 2.0 challenges.
At the firm, Greg leads the employee benefits practice group and helps his clients maximize the value and minimize the risks inherent in their benefit plans. Julia likewise helps employers and other benefit plan sponsors create and maintain competitive benefits packages that attract and retain talent to help their businesses thrive, while also serving as Office Managing Partner for the Spencer Fane Kansas City office.
