Spencer Fane Sponsors Dallas Association of Young Lawyers DEI Event

July 30, 2024

Spencer Fane proudly sponsored the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers (DAYL) Dinner and Dialogue on July 17. Attorney Tori Levine was a featured speaker for the event, which Bill Hopkins, Kim Kerns, Namrita Notani, Laurie Patton, and summer associate Savannah Charles also attended.

Dinner and Dialogue is an annual CLE program presented by the DAYL Lawyers Promoting Diversity Committee. The event provides a forum for the Dallas legal community to gather at the Arts District Mansion and discuss diversity, equity, and inclusion-related issues. This year’s presentation, Navigating Implicit Bias: A Revisit, served as re-exploration of implicit bias and its effects in the legal workplace. In addition to Tori, the panel included the Hon. Judge Bonnie Lee Goldstein, Bill Richmond (Platt Richmond), and Dennis Siaw-Lattey (Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr).

Supporting and engaging in crucial discussions such as this is one of the key avenues through which Spencer Fane sustains its mission to build, maintain, and leverage a diverse and inclusive law firm that extends the benefits of DEI principles to its clients and communities. By investing in diversity-focused networks both inside and outside the firm, embedding diversity into its recruitment strategy, and providing career development and advancement opportunities for all professionals, Spencer Fane enhances the culture that has allowed the firm to attract top talent and grow its national footprint.
