Spencer Fane Hosts TAG Alliances 50th International Conference in Nashville

May 15, 2024

Spencer Fane was the principal sponsor and host of the TAG Alliances 50th International Conference, which took place May 1-3, 2024, at the Grand Hyatt in Nashville. The global membership organization comprises three industry alliances: TAGLaw, TIAG, and TAG-SP. The organization’s law division boasts more than 160 leading independent law firms, including Spencer Fane, across 90 countries. Notably, the 50th International Conference marked the firm’s 25th anniversary as a TAG Alliances member.

The conference included a full agenda of engaging CLE sessions, keynote speeches, networking events, and guided tours for approximately 130 attendees from 24 countries. Spencer Fane attorneys Jim Dankenbring and Stephen Zralek presented introductory comments and greeted attendees at the welcome dinner, and each moderated a session: Jim, a panel on sports law titled, “The Business Behind the Spotlight: Corporate Transactions in the Entertainment & Sports Industry”; Stephen, a “Fireside Chat” discussing impactful client stories.

Spencer Fane attorney Loren Mulraine also moderated a session titled, “It’s Showtime! Exploring Opportunities in the Entertainment, Hospitality/Tourism, and Alcohol Sectors.” To conclude the many entertaining networking activities, Spencer Fane attorney Courtney Lutz Creal took home the trophy in the karaoke contest.

TAGLaw was notably recognized as an “Elite” 2024 alliance for the 11th time since Chambers and Partners began ranking international legal networks and alliances in 2013, the highest ranking offered by the preeminent, U.K.-based research firm. According to Chambers, rankings are determined by the quality of the member firms, the alliance’s global reach, and the value the alliance provides its members.

Spencer Fane is proud to be a TAGLaw member representing both Missouri and Tennessee, contributing to the alliance’s “Elite” ranking as it continues to prioritize supportive practice structures and diverse networking opportunities inside and outside the firm.
