Spencer Fane attorney Hal McCard was recently appointed to two Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) committees for the Partnership for Quality Measurement (PQM). He will now serve on the organization’s Pre-Rulemaking Measure Review (PRMR) and Endorsement and Maintenance (E&M) Committees.
The PQM is a partnership of CMS and Batelle that is dedicated to promoting reliable, transparent, attainable, equitable, and meaningful quality measurement processes. In his new PRMR role, Hal will help evaluate quality measures for hospitals submitted to CMS by industry stakeholders. As a member of the E&M Committee, he will assist in evaluating the quality, utility, and financial impact of submitted quality measures for use in CMS programs for endorsement review.
