Spencer Fane is pleased to announce it has been named a finalist for Best Law Firm of the Year in The American Lawyer’s upcoming 2023 Industry Awards.
Each year, the publisher of the AmLaw 200 evaluates and celebrates notable work being done across the largest law firms and corporate law departments in the legal profession. The American Lawyer’s annual Industry Awards seek to find the in-house counsel, law firms, and organizations that are elevating the industry to new heights.
Spencer Fane is pleased to be one of eight law firms nationally selected as a finalist for Law Firm of the Year, which recognizes a law firm that had an exceptional year across its service offerings, while also showing a commitment to and progress in an area not solely related to their practice, such as pro bono, diversity, or innovation.

Spencer Fane has been recognized as the fastest-growing law firm in the AmLaw 200 over the last five-year period which is growth many attribute to its commitment to culture, core values of humility, collaboration and a fierce resolve to win, as well as the traction the firm has gained with its diversity efforts.
In addition to being shortlisted for Law Firm of the Year, for instance, Corporate Counsel recently recognized Spencer Fane as one of two law firms in the nation to receive its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Law Firm Team Award at its 2023 Women, Influence and Power in Law Awards. The firm has made culture as much of its strategy as anything with a belief that the firm’s values are what drive its value to clients.
Spencer Fane was selected as a finalist by a judging team of senior editors and reporters at The American Lawyer. Winners will be announced at The American Lawyer’s awards ceremony in New York City on November 15.
