Spencer Fane attorney Ruthie White was quoted in a recent SHRM article, Take Care with Last Chance Agreements.
The piece focuses on last chance agreements, a common agreement used with employees on the brink of termination. Ruthie and several other industry leaders spoke with reporter Allen Smith about such agreements’ purpose, challenges, and alternatives.
“If handled correctly, a last chance agreement provides a clear message about why an employee’s behavior is unacceptable and fully describes the consequences of such behavior in the future,” Ruthie shared.
