Attorney DeAndrea Washington has been named to the Corporate Counsel Business Journal’s inaugural 2023 50 Women to Watch list.
DeAndrea and her fellow honorees were chosen by the Selection Committee from among nearly 500 nominees. This recognition acknowledges DeAndrea as a key “player” in her industry who exhibits impressive leadership qualities, a commitment to advancing diversity, and the ability to drive business success.
At Spencer Fane, DeAndrea focuses her practice on a variety of labor and employment litigation matters. She provides preventive counsel and litigates employment disputes on behalf of public and private employers in federal and state courts, arbitration, and before administrative agencies.
DeAndrea also advocates for DEI in the legal field and is a respected voice in the firm’s leadership. She serves as a member of the Spencer Fane Executive Committee advising on diversity, equity, and inclusivity impacting firm decisions and strategy at the highest level of firm leadership. She is also a member of the DEI Committee. DeAndrea believes strongly in the advancement of women and minorities in the legal industry and uses her platform to improve the firm and the business community in Texas and throughout the nation.
