Spencer Fane attorney Ruthie White recently presented at the Gulf Coast Symposium on HR Issues event. Hosted by HR Houston, Ruthie provided updates on labor and employment law.
Titled “Six Emerging and Evolving Workplace Issues to Manage Effectively,” Ruthie’s presentation covered six recent trends in the American workplace. She highlighted ways for employers to efficiently manage changes related to technological advancement, workplace safety, and shifting cultural paradigms.
The theme of the 2021 conference was “HR Now: Building the Future of Work,” focusing on how the pandemic has affected Human Resource (HR) professionals.
Ruthie is an involved member of numerous legal associations and frequently presents employment law and HR-related seminars. In her practice, she helps employers resolve labor and employment disputes in and out of court. She has significant experience drafting employment policies, procedures, and best practices; investigating allegations of employee misconduct; implementing disciplinary, job performance, and leave management procedures; and developing selection criteria for reductions in the workforce.
