Spencer Fane attorneys Adam LaBoda, Rod Nichols, and Shawn Tuma recently participated in the Missouri Bankers Association’s (MBA) Bank Legal Risk Management Conference. As members of the Bank Counsel Advisory Board, Adam and Rod assisted in the planning efforts for the virtual series. Shawn presented on cyber insurance and cyber incident response in the banking industry.
Titled “Understanding the Need for Cyber Insurance and How It Impacts Incident Response Preparation,” Shawn’s presentation covered the cyber risks banks may experience and the reasons to consider investing in cyber insurance.
During the presentation, Shawn addressed:
- Ways to ensure you get the right cyber insurance coverage;
- Limitations of cyber insurance policies, including how the policy may impact the incident; recovery process in the areas of service providers and planning; and,
- The process of selecting the most effective incident response team.
