Spencer Fane attorney, John L. Watson, will participate on a panel at the annual San Juan Mining & Reclamation Conference in Silverton, Colorado on the topic “Reimagining Superfund in Historic Mining Districts.”
John’s presentation will address the recent legislation which he wrote and has submitted for consideration by the Colorado Legislature titled, “The Colorado Good Samaritan Act of 2020.” The bill, patterned after similar legislation in Pennsylvania, is designed to provide incentives for, and remove roadblocks to, voluntary cleanup of abandoned mineral operations in Colorado.
