Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce Kunal Shah joined the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group as a partner in the firm’s Plano, Texas office.
With clients ranging from corporations to businesses of all sizes to C-suite individuals, Kunal provides clients collaborative and proactive counsel, helping identify and avoid legal exposure while simultaneously best positioning them to successfully resolve litigious matters in an efficient and cost-effective manner. He brings specific and notable industry experience in construction, health care, IT, and retail, with a curated track record of beneficial outcomes in general commercial disputes and those specifically involving trade secret misappropriation, breach of restrictive covenants, hacking, fraud, breach of contract, discrimination, and retaliation.
Kunal’s aggressive, thorough, and practical approach to client service focuses on first trying to minimize or avoid legal and financial exposure but also involves preparedness to handle litigation from the beginning and through to resolution when needed.
In addition to litigation, Kunal brings significant experience in labor and employment. He regularly makes presentations and provides critical guidance to management on claims identification, mitigation, and prevention, along with the creation and implementation of effective best practices and policies geared toward claims avoidance related to Title VII, FMLA, ADA, and FLSA, and counsels and trains employees to make them aware of their rights regarding employment, discrimination, harassment, and accommodation and related reporting procedures for potential infractions or requests.

Kunal completed his undergraduate studies at Rutgers University and later earned a Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School.
