Spencer Fane was proud to sponsor and support the Mission Project Independence Walk, an annual fundraiser for the Mission Project, on August 27 at Beverly Park.
The two-mile fundraising event directly provides work transportation, continuing education, fitness and nutrition programs, and recreational activities. The 2022 event has been the most successful Walk to date, with a preliminary count of $30,000 raised and almost 150 walkers involved.
The Mission Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Mission, Kansas, supports adults with developmental disabilities, such as autism and Down Syndrome, to live independent lives and maximize their potential. Their unique model has proven to be highly successful in enabling these capable adults to reach their highest human potential as leaders, as workers, as friends.
