Andrew Brought Discusses OSHA Employer Injury, Illness Proposed Rule

July 5, 2022

Spencer Fane attorney Andrew Brought outlined a potential Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rule that would make employers’ injury and illness data public in a recent article published by TLNT, an online talent management and human resources publication.

In the article, Are You Ready to Make Your Workplace Injuries Data Public?, Brought explained employers’ new responsibilities if the OSHA proposed rule progresses and becomes final. If approved, OSHA also intends to begin making employers’ workplace injuries and illnesses publicly available in a searchable online database. The idea is that by having their data available for all to see and scrutinize, employers will be challenged to make their workplaces safer.

At Spencer Fane, Andrew counsels manufacturers, industrial clients, and businesses with complex environmental and workplace safety/OSHA matters. He has extensive experience helping companies with workplace safety incidents and industrial accidents that involve the intersection of health, safety, and environmental regulations and government agencies.
