Spencer Fane attorneys David Briley and Sam McAllester and legal administrative assistant Kay Tenpenny recently represented the firm at a Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville dedication ceremony for Sherwood Commons, a townhome community. Firm employees in the Nashville office volunteered time for a “Build Day” that assisted in the construction of the buildings.

Habitat for Humanity is a “nonprofit organization that helps people in your community and around the world build or improve a place they can call home.” The Nashville branch “builds new, quality, affordable homes for hardworking men and women in four county areas: Davidson, Wilson, Cheatham, and Dickson counties.”
Sam, who has been deeply involved with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville for a decade, led the volunteer group from Spencer Fane. Serving in multiple leadership positions within the organization, he is currently a board member, treasurer, Executive Committee member, and Finance Committee chairman.
At Spencer Fane, our attorneys are active leaders in their communities as well as in the legal industry. Our firmwide programs around charitable giving, diversity, pro bono matters, and volunteerism fuel the Spencer Fane culture of corporate stewardship and community involvement. Habitat Build Day is just one example of how our attorneys give back to their surrounding communities.
