Spencer Fane attorney Ayesha Mehdi recently wrote an article in the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Health eSource newsletter sharing tips and strategies to help physicians navigate COVID-19 vaccine mandates.
Titled “COVID-19 Vaccination Mandates: How They Apply to Physicians,” the article discusses three different applications of COVID-19 vaccine requirements that could affect health care workers.
“COVID-19 vaccination mandates comprise a patchwork of continually developing federal, state, and private-sector requirements, some of which have prompted lawsuits, including the recent Supreme Court cases, challenging the validity of such mandates,” Ayesha explains in the article. “Physicians should be mindful of how these mandates – and even anti-mandates – may apply distinctly to them as health care workers, employers, and exemption gatekeepers.”
At Spencer Fane, Ayesha works closely with physicians and other health care professionals, along with various health care and closely held businesses, in a wide range of corporate, transactional, regulatory, and licensure matters. She is an involved member of the Vegas legal community and has experience in other leadership roles.
