Spencer Fane was pleased to sponsor Lhakpa Sherpa’s most recent expedition, in which she achieved her 10th summit of Mount Everest on May 13, 2022, where she broke her world record.
While most of Lhakpa’s support came through crowd-funding and individual sponsors, Spencer Fane was one of several organizations that significantly underwrote her historic achievement.
Lhakpa was the firm’s featured guest during its 2022 International Women’s Day virtual celebration. During this recent event, Lhakpa shared her story and achievements, including how she has completed the most Everest climbs of any woman in the world (the world record) with determination to “just keep going” despite the obstacles in her way.
At Spencer Fane, we aim to advance women in the firm and their civic and business communities. The firm’s Women ADVOCATE affinity group is dedicated to this mission and works to implement internal and external initiatives, including the International Women’s Day event and supporting Lhakpa.
