Spencer Fane attorneys Joe Hatley and Eric Johnson were recently included on the Missouri Lawyers Media (MLM) 2021 POWER list.
The POWER list is comprised of the “most powerful commercial and consumer attorneys in Missouri.” The MLM has an intricate selection process and recognizes “practitioners who have won notable jury trials, achieved significant settlements in both class action suits and individual claims, and helped to set important precedents that shape the law.”
Recognized in the Education Law category, Joe was selected for his accomplishments as a civil and commercial litigator. He helps educational institutions navigate a myriad of federal and state laws. His extensive work for educators — often among the largest employers in their communities — provides a natural segue to his work for other private and public employers.
Eric was honored in the Bankruptcy Law Section for his successful Bankruptcy practice, where he is a leader for both his clients and the firm. He is the practice group leader for the Spencer Fane Bankruptcy, Restructuring, and Creditors’ Rights Group and focuses on representing clients in bankruptcy, non-bankruptcy insolvency proceedings, such as receiverships and foreclosure proceedings, out of court workouts and restructurings, and other related insolvency matters.
