Nashville Office Gives Back to Community at Habitat for Humanity’s Build Day

October 22, 2021

Spencer Fane Bone McAllester attorneys recently volunteered at the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville’s Build Day, where they contributed to the construction of Sherwood Commons, a townhome community.

Members of our Nashville office were involved in Day 39 of Habitat for Humanity’s Fall 2021 development project. Habitat for Humanity is a “nonprofit organization that helps people in your community and around the world build or improve a place they can call home.” The Nashville branch “builds new, quality, affordable homes for hardworking men and women in four county areas: Davidson, Wilson, Cheatham, and Dickson counties.”

The volunteer group was led by Sam McAllester, who has been deeply involved with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville for nine years. Serving in multiple leadership positions within the organization, Sam is currently a Member of the Board of Directors, Treasurer, Member of the Executive Committee, and Chairman of the Finance Committee.

At Spencer Fane, our attorneys are active leaders in their communities, as well as the legal industry. Our firm-wide programs around charitable giving, diversity, pro bono matters, and volunteerism fuel the Spencer Fane culture of corporate stewardship and community involvement. Build Day is just one example of ways our attorneys are giving back to their surrounding communities.
