Paul Jacobson Provides Insight on OSHA Enforcement Priorities for COVID-Related Violations

Spencer Fane attorney Paul Jacobson recently outlined trends in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) citations resulting from COVID-related investigations for online publication TLNT.

OSHA recently issued guidance summarizing the safety standards most often cited. In a separate release, OSHA announced that the number of issued citations for COVID-related violations has topped 200, totaling nearly $3 million as of Nov. 5.

“In other words, even without promulgating COVID-specific requirements, OSHA has plenty of regulatory authority to cite employers in connection with COVID hazards in the workplace,” Paul explained in the article.
