The Spencer Fane Charitable Giving Program in Kansas City was created to provide significant support to select local nonprofit arts organizations through a $50,000 donation to each recipient over the course of three years. The program was designed as a rotation so that one new recipient will enter the program each year, with another exiting upon completion of its three-year cycle.
Our primary goal for the program is to encourage long-standing relationships with nonprofit organizations and provide employees with additional opportunities to become involved with the firm’s causes.
Spencer Fane is currently accepting applications for a new recipient to enter the program rotation in 2021. In order to be considered, an organization must have a strong focus on the arts in Kansas City and have a need for the funds, which will allow the firm to have a significant, positive impact on its cause. It is also preferred that an organization offer the firm and its employees unique and creative ways to become involved in its mission.
Current program recipients include Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey, which rotates out of the program this year, Crossroads Preparatory Academy and Charlotte Street Foundation.
