Spencer Fane attorney Helen Holden recently presented a webinar for the Society for Human Resource Management of Greater Phoenix (SHRMGP).
Titled “Dazed and Confused: Managing Absences and Other Challenges presented by the ADA,” the presentation focused on recent court decisions involving the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and medical marijuana use further add to the confusion around ADA compliance. Helen outlined best practices for employers, including managing extended leave, avoiding retaliation claims and issues under the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act.
